Keen's Place

Friendliness of staff, the owner helped me book a tour to Honda Bay islands, you can also book the tour to the underground river. Great value for money, bathroom is really small and air conditioner is noisy but still works well, given the really reasonable price I still think the place is decent. Room was clean and there's a large roof terrace on the 2nd floor. Towels and toilet paper are provided, contrary to what I read in some other reviews. It is located 10 minutes from the town centre / baywalk by tricycle and 5 minutes from the airport. I also read people complaining about the mattress being too hard but I found it perfectly fine and slept really well! At the end of the road there are plenty of tricycle drivers who can take you anywhere. There's a great Filipino family restaurant around the corner, and a vegetarian restaurant across the road, along with a mini market. I suggest buying the large 5L or 6.6L bottles as the property doesn't have a refill station. The owners were very kind to hold on to my luggage after check out as my flight was late in the evening.

At Keens Place I loved the most, that they have so many cats and dogs - they are taking good care of them (some of them were strays). The staff (really all of them) are soooo kind and friendly, they would always like to have a chat and help with all wishes. The rooms are big and comfortable with a good shower. They have a beautiful rooftop with a lot of plants, wich is so relaxful after a daytour to underground river or just a day in the city. It is also perfectly located, close to the airport and surrounded by many restaurants (and bars).

The women who runs the hotel and all of her lovely staff are amazing so friendly, kind and made sure to do anything so we enjoyed ourselves. the rooms where nice but we especially loved the roooftop filled with plants and lovely furniture. it has a cd player and lots of old cds so we could play music and enjoy the evening. they love their animals too and all of the cats where so cute and friendly. we loved it!’

Fairly good sized room, high ceiling, very clean. It is very near the airport, just a short tricycle ride away, and it is centrally located, being just along the street by the side of the Provincial Capitol. Many good restaurants around. There is a fantastic lounge area on the third floor surrounded by lots of plants. It was airy and cool. The extra sink outside the toilet, and a place to hang clothes, were great additions to the room.

I really liked the place. It was clean, had a good location and the room was big. The bathroom was very nice and there was a big rooftop terrace for all guests to sit and relax. It was in a quiet area but still very close to a lot of good food. You can also book tours with them. I would stay here again.
